| Most Helpful Customer Reviews I had not heard of Evolve Audio before but after googling them took a look at their website and saw they were a new brand in the By rich on 23 July 2015 Verified Purchase I was looking for a soundbar for about £200 for my parents as my dad is hard of hearing and he has been struggling to hear programs clearly through the TV. I have also been considering whether a pair of wireless headphones might be helpful for him too, but came across this Evolve soundbar on Amazon which had wireless headphones included for no extra cost. I had not heard of Evolve Audio before but after googling them took a look at their website and saw they were a new brand in the market but thought let’s give it a try as I could always return it if I was not happy to Amazon. I took the unit round to them to help set it up and they are both over the moon. It was easy to set up, connected with an optical cable which was included in the box and the wireless subwoofer paired with the soundbar straight away. The headphones also worked out the box and had independent volume controls on them, ideal for when my dad is listening through them and my mum wants to watch the same program without deafening herself. The soundbar which is a brushed metal was very slim and fitted nicely in front of their TV on their stand and the subwoofer was quite compact so again did not take up too much room. Sound quality overall is very good, and the sound through the headphones was very impressive. My dad loves it! The soundbar has Bluetooth music streaming but I doubt my parents will make use of that. They do like the remote control though and the fact the soundbar is unobtrusive. They thought the key on the remote to turn the led display off was great when watching a movie and also the general ease of use of the soundbar. My only real complaint was the battery for the remote was fiddly. At first I could not get it to work but then realized the battery needed to go in a special way. Overall they are happy and so am I. |
